The tube-house

HDP 048

Six storeys, apple-green and the width of a door: I am not kidding, this is a real building, located very close to my apartment.

I wonder what went into the architect's head when he/she designed this... What's your theory?

That's the tax, levied proportionally to the WIDTH of the structures.

VERY narrow lot line. All you need is a sliver I guess. I don't like the "no window" aspect. Maybe on the other side???

Weird. Does it use a spiral staircase? I can't imagine a regular one in that extremely narrow space.

Phu, right answer ;). But still, I wonder how one can live in such a space!

Hilda, very good question, I didn't think of it.. I should go ask my neighbours.

Maybe a "buzz-building"? :D
In any case, a good way to indicate where you live to the ones who come for the first time.
Maybe they gonna use the side facade as a hoarding?

Good one ;)
Don't give bad ideas to my neighbors.. I wouldn't want them to put a giant neon light on the side facade.

When are you coming over to the mother land?

J'y pense... j'y pense. Suis souvent à Tokyo : à peine à 6h de vol de chez toi!

Just making good use of available space ... Residential land is limited expensive in Asian cities.
