Every day at 6am, those speakers broadcast some local news, classifieds and songs. Oh, and pay no attention to the wires, you'll just get used to it after a while!

OMG, hahahaha! Our wires are just as tangled as these! Thank goodness there are no speakers though!
I posted one back in March in A tangled mess, but it was only of a pole in a residential neighborhood. I have yet to take a photo of a pole in a commercial area. ;)
As Hilda said, we have those tangled wires too. I use to be all annoyed at it wondering why they let it all out when they could probably reduce the eyesore by hiding it somewhere. But lately I have finally accepted those blasted things. even managed to capture it on my camera.
I like knowing about quirks of a city, and this is a nice to know.
Hey Hilda, Layrayski, indeed that must be a common trait to quite a number of countries in South-East Asia!
I was thinking the other day that some people coming from Europe must be getting crazy when seeing Hanoi: electricians and driving instructors for instance :).
